Plot:
Unlike usual princess stories where the evil antagonists possessed magical powers, Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) had her healing hair. To stay young, Mother Gothel used emotional blackmail to keep Rapunzel grounded in the tower. Finally rebelling, Rapunzel escaped with Flynn Rider (Zachery Levi) to return to where she truly belonged.
Review:
Fans of Lion King or other classic Disney princesses' movies should think of this latest offering as more in line with Enchanted. Somehow, songs from those era had more impact. That be said, 'I see the light' from Tangled was sincere and reflective. Although a sideline, Pascal the chameleon brought the necessary entertainment to the otherwise predictable plot.
