Unsure of how we were going to explore Cairo, we signed up with the hostel's full day package (200 LP ?). Our first site was Sakkara, the first pyramid.
Along the way, the driver drove us to a papyrus shop where the sales assistant showed us how the paper was formed. Pretty interesting, so was the price and the amount of Chinese customers as well.
Onwards to the most important part of the Egypt tour: Pyramids! We hired camels and horses (340 LP each!). Riding across the Sahara desert on them, I could think myself as a prince. Lol. It was really an experience and would have been better if we had more time ... Oh well, we achieved our objective.
