Thus began the Scandinavia adventure. First stop: Copenhagen! I always had the impression that Scandinavia is an expensive region to visit, so I hoped this trip won't bankrupt me.

We arrived in Copenhagen in the late morning and were greeted by a snow-less city. The wind was a little chilly but no snow! Like! After a lunch at some Chinese restaurant (where the chef claimed that her dim sum were the best around...), we explored Copenhagen.

| Church of our Saviour |
Knowing E, he would want to visit those sights where TAR had been to. One of the sights turned out to be the Church of our Saviour, an impressive looking building. A pity we could not climb to the top as it was closed... Another sight in TAR, the Frederiksborg Slot, was a train ride away and we simply could not accommodate that in our short stay.

For a short afternoon, we actually left the EU and came back again. Welcome to Christiania, a free state and also the green light district. Marijuana was abundant and we risked taking any photos since there were many fierce-looking people around... This was much scarier than the red light district in Amsterdam... Anyway, Christiania was rather small but eye-opening...

Even though we were in Denmark where LEGO originated, the LEGOland theme park was too far away. Luckily, there were LEGO shops around for me to take some pictures.

The place where our hostel was located was Central Station, which was near the red light district (didn't see any...) and also Tivoli. Tivoli is a night time theme park and was mentioned as a top attraction on some websites. Sure enough, it looked beautiful but at 96 DEK, we have to reconsider...
