Day 1: Outside NYC

Just touched down in Boston and we were ever ready for our first trip: New York City! The bus ride to NYC was extended from the expected four hours due to super heavy traffic and my butt is aching from the ride.

xlb @ Joe's Shanghai

After the grueling ride, we finally reached NYC's Chinatown and it was about lunch time. Thus, D brought us to Joe's Shanghai for some decent Chinese food. I really love xlb! After the fantastic lunch, we headed off to our hotel which was in another city. Of course, along the way, we took in the sights of Chinatown. It's really different from that of London's and I thought it was even more Chinese than Singapore's.

NYC subway

As mentioned, our hotel was located far away and we had to take the subway. In my opinion, the subway was quite packed and definitely in need of a good cleaning. How far was our hotel? Well, it was about 45 mins ride away...

Our hotel in Flushing

Finally, we reached Flushing and guess what, it's already evening... After some time of slacking, it's dinner time and E had planned for a Korean bbq dinner.

Eating the bbq meat in a leaf wrap always reminded me of the trip in Korea. Joyous memories! After a long day, it's time for bed and to prepare ourselves for the big apple.
